Original German WWII MG 34 Display Machine Gun with WW2 Lafette Mount - Both Dated 1943

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available! This is one of our original WWII issue MG34 display machine guns. It is coded along with multiple German wartime markings and has multiple waffen amts and serial number 1426b on the barrel jacket, which is struck-through and replaced with number 8153. The Barrel jacket also bears the manufacturer code "dot" (struck-through) for the Brno factory in Czechoslovakia, where it was manufactured in 1943.

The top cover is marked bpr, for Johannes Grossfus, for Döbeln in Sachsen, a maker of small arms and parts for the MG 34 and MG 42 machine guns. It is also marked with serial number 854a. The late-war style bipod on the gun is marked with maker code dqc for Eugen Ising, Bergneustadt/Rheinland, along with waffen proofs.

This is a very fine example of the most prolific German issued Light Machine gun of WW2. Comprised of nearly entirely original WWII parts, this weapon has been rebuilt on an original WW2 re-welded de-milled receiver without internal parts that has been replaced with solid steel bar-stock.

Also, included is an incredibly rare totally original WW2 1943 dated MG 34 Lafette tripod mount, complete with original German WW2 Ranging plate. The mount is offered in very good functional condition and is coded eat which indicates construction by Rudolf Schluckebier & Co in Eisenbahnbedarf, and also bears serial number 3143. The search-fire mechanism is also fully functional and nicely marked bkh which indicates the manufacturer Hermann Werbig Waggonfabrik in Nossen, with serial number 6086.

A fine display MG 34 LMG with an incredibly hard to find totally original MG 34 Lafette tripod mount, meaning this is a once in a long time opportunity for any WW2 collection.
