Original Items: In 1996 IMA purchased from the Finnish ministry of Defense a considerable menu of Military Surplus material including Model 1910 Maxim Guns captured from the Soviet Union in the Winter War of 1939/40 when Finland supported Germany. German military aid had been arriving in Finland for some years prior to WWII and among our purchases were a quantity of Original German marked WWI brown leather Mauser Rifle Triple Ammunition Pouches that IMA had been offering for some years.

However, in addition IMA also received Leather Y Straps and waist belts with plain two prong brass buckles. The WW1 brown leather ammunition pouches marked and some are dated to the WW1 era, the waist belts are unmarked and a few of the leather Y straps were found to be marked with a Berlin makers name and dated 1935. However, the majority of the Y straps are unmarked and come but all come with correct brass collar studs.

Just recently a small case of these items have come to light in our warehouse and IMA is now offering them for the first time as a complete set.
