Original Danish Naval Officer Sword with Commission Signed by King Frederick IX

Original Items: One-of-a-kind set. Personally presented by King Frederick IX of Denmark to OFFICER FRANCIS POULSEN on November 25th, 1959 was his Officer's Commission together with an 8" x 10" black and white photograph of Officer Poulsen and the King aboard the Danish Royal Yacht. This occurred on December 1st 1959, the day the commission and sword were presented to him.

Official Danish naval officer's sword supplied by Magazin du Nord in Copenhagen with extensive etching covering the rear half of the blade and and the crown over fouled anchor representing the Danish Navy.

Gilt brass mounts to both sword and scabbard. The body of the scabbard covered in traditional ray skin. The grip plates on the sword made from Nacre (Mother of Pearl) and comes with the original red and gilt sword knot. Sword nicely protected in an original lined carry bag.

Offered in splendid condition. A fine sword with all the provenance.
