Original British 16th Queens Lancers Trooper Uniform Set- Circa 1901

Original Items: Only One Set Available. Genuine Lancer's material has always been hard to find. Here is a set dating between 1901-1910 displaying "King's Crown" buttons of the 16th Queen’s Lancers. The set is comprised of the following:

- Classic Lancer tunic with red with blue facings in wonderful condition.

- Later 20th century blue coveralls (trousers) with double yellow striped legs.

- White buff leather cross belt with black leather document case bearing gild brass Royal Arms.

- Traditional Chapska Lancer helmet with large regimental helmet plate and black horsehair plume.

- Lance caps comes complete with it's original agglettes cap lines.

The 16th Lancers were raised in 1759 soon becoming known as Burgoyne's Light Horse.

They served in the American Revolutionary Wars at the Battles of Brandywine, Paoli and Monmouth Court House and were returned to England in 1778. The 16th Lancer's were the only British Cavalry Regiment to serve throughout the Peninsula War and also at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815 against Napoleon. In 1816 the become the 16th Queen's" Lancers for King George III's wife Queen Charlotte. The Regimental Battle honors include TALAVERA, SALAMANCA, VITTORIA, PENINSULA, WATERLOO and several from both AFGHANISTAN and INDIA from 19th Century service. One of Great Britain's storied regiments.
