Elizabethan Swept Hilt Rapier: Circa 1580

New Made Item: Uncovered in the ?IMA Clean-Up? these were actually manufactured in the late 1980?s. Therefore, these brass hilted rapiers are just beginning to look their age. Leather bound grip over wood with fancy brass cross guard and heavy brass pommel. Fully tempered 37" quality blade contained with brass mounted black leather hand stitched scabbard. These are just what Sir Francis Drake and Sir Walter Raleigh carried at the time of the Spanish Armada invasion of 1588. A quality reproduction, already aging, that can fill the hole in any Romantic's Collection.
