Product Description
Original Item: Recovered from the kingdom of Nepal in 2003, these are original kukri bayonets manufactured 150-200 years ago for the Brown Bess and later East India Company .75 percussion muskets. Every bayonet is unique, no two are alike, and they are massive! On average the curved blades measure from 12” - 20” in length and 2”- 4” in width. Some are marked with Devanagari or Indian script and certainly could have seen use during the Indian Mutiny of 1857-58.
These are exceptionally rare, hardly ever seen on the open collectors market before the importation of the “Nepal Cache”. All are sold in “untouched” condition- meaning they are covered in dried grease and dirt, but after cleaning a few examples, only minor rust or pitting should be expected, and all are in very good condition. Warning: limited stock- very few available.
