British WWII Pattern Naval Rating Hats: H.M.S WWII Tallies

Original Item: Genuine Military Surplus; These are original British Naval issue "Sailor" Hats of WW2 pattern, but made years just after WW2. These classic peak-less summer issue white and navy rating's hats come complete with original Government issue Wartime Cap tallies showing "H.M.S.” (His Majesty's Ship).

In peacetime, the tally would bear the name of the vessel (H.M.S. ARK ROYAL etc.) but for security reasons in times of war only "H.M.S.” tallies were issued and worn. The tallies come detached for you to install and should be attached by using a regular "Bow” knot over the left ear.
