British Embroidered Blitz Badge: WWII (set of 3)

Original Item: An unissued case discovered! The London Blitz began in September 1940 when Hitler tried to break the British spirit by terror bombing. During these awful air raids everyone was required to enter shelters. Only those authorized by displaying these "Blitz Badges" were permitted topside. These embroidered cloth Civil Defense Corp. badges show a face-on view of a gold rampant lion holding sword and sceptre surmounted by Royal Crown in red and gold with navy background. At 4" across this Badge is an impressive as well as historically significant. Set of three (3).
