Original Item: This scabbard will also accept the British No. 5/7/9 and L1a1 and L1A3 family of Bayonets. Surplused in Jabalpur India in 1996, this is the Indian Army issue all steel Scabbard for the Long 10" bladed Bowie Bayonet, similar to the British issue but longer. Designed for use with the then universal FAL Assault Rifle. Always more difficult to find than the bayonets, these long Bowie bayonet scabbards were kept in storage for years after the release of the bayonet to the surplus market. In very good to excellent condition, each shows an original blue/black finish.
