Original Item: Scabbard. New Made Item: Dagger. Fascinating original Imperial German WWI issue scabbards each with the attached remains of a leather belt frog which have sat long forgotten at IMA in storage for nearly 20 years. Ideal for restoration; however we felt it best to include a new made WW1 era Trench Dagger in it's WW1 bright finish to complete the offering.
These original blued steel Scabbards are in good condition but each leather suspension frog has suffered from almost 100 years of wear and abuse, now torn, tatty and incomplete. In WW2 these earlier Daggers were reissued, most often with a blued metal finish, in a custom boot scabbard without a frog but with a long spring for inserting into the top of a jackboot. IMA also offers a reproduction of this WW2 issue weapon. But, now we are able to offer the WW1 trench dagger, new made in the correct bright finish together with an Original WW1 trench knife scabbard.
Approx. Blade Length 5 1/2 inches. Approx. Blade width at hilt 7/8 inches. Approx. Scabbard Body Length 6 3/8 inches. Comes dull (not sharpened).
