Original Item: The Vickers Mk I Medium Machine Gun was supplied with a combination wrench as part of its support equipment. There were two versions of the tool; the original Mk I version (this item) and a Mk II version which was introduced in June of 1918. The Mk I tool provided the following functions:
Large spanner for disassembling the muzzle attachment
Small spanner for removing the Mk II muzzle cup
Small square socket wrench for the clamp on the Mk I muzzle cup
Round socket on the end of the handle for removing the cap on the connecting rod.
Some of the Mk I tools are marked V.S.M. for Vickers, Sons and Maxim: Please choose 'Special Select' for a tool with markings.
