British Vickers Medium Machine Gun All-Steel Feed Block: Scarce

Original Item: While the vast majority of Vickers machine gun feed blocks were made of brass, a few were made of steel because of the improved wear characteristics.  The manufacture of the steel blocks was discontinued, however, because of the greatly increased time to machine them.  Consequently, all-steel blocks are hard to find today. IMA has found a few of these steel blocks.  They fall into two groups:  blocks marked D.P. (for Drill Purpose, or training use) and those not marked D.P.
