Original Item: Only One Available. This impressive helmet is made of a sturdy pressed fiber material and has a distinctive grayish-green felt exterior. It boasts a protruding visor at the front that provides excellent protection and a neck guard at the back to ensure maximum safety. The front of the helmet is adorned with a helmet plate that showcases the Czechoslovakia coat-of-arms on an angled square with linden leaves on each of the four sides. The raised spine of the helmet has an eye-catching two-part silvered metal strip that starts at the top of the helmet plate and runs all the way to the outer edge of the neck guard. The top part of the strip features a repeating linden leaf design that adds to the helmet's appeal.
A similar repeating linden leaf design appears on the silvered metal strip that runs along the base edge of the dome around the circumference, held securely in place by small rivets. The silvered metal cockades on either side are in the form of a lion's head, with posts that wrap around the side brim and terminate at the outer edge, held in place by silvered bronze slotted inserts that incorporate a chinstrap which is not present. The outer edge of the helmet is protected by a strip of silvered stripping that runs along the circumference, further contributing to the helmet's durability.
The underside of the visor and neck guard are lined with the same grayish-green felt as the exterior, providing a comfortable fit for the wearer. Above each cockade are two reinforced ventilation holes with eyelets that allow for proper air circulation. Inside, there is a 40mm wide thin leather sweatband, composed of a single piece of leather. The dome is lined in brownish-green cotton and bears no legible markings. The helmet measures 222 mm x 304 mm x 160 mm in height, making it an impressive and imposing piece.
While it exhibits some green oxidation on the rear spine strip, with light wear evident on the leather sweatband from active use, the parts appear to be original, and the helmet remains in near extremely fine condition aside from minor deformities. This helmet is a testament to the quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail that went into its creation and is sure to impress anyone who sees it.
